Just For You

Just for catty_rox, I will write a review on "Millie and the Night Heron" which the aforementioned actually wrote. I will try not to be biased. It's good, about a girl named Millie who changes, in school and family and stuff. Though it is rather amusing, to find I know a lot of the characters, and that one of the teachers is my mother. I'd give it a 8.5, because catty may have, at the very least, changed some of the names. It's good, I'd reccomend reading it, but "The Airdancer of Glass" was better.

Artemis Fowl

For all you fowl addicts out there, the new one is out! Its title is Artemis Fowl and the Opal deception. It's very good, but make sure you have read the second book first. I'll say no more there! Cover is very good, but something I've always wanted to know- how do you pronounce Eion?

Dr Who

I just recently saw the new series of Dr. Who. The reason I have prolonged this experience is because I never thought it could live up to the notoriously funny Dr Baker, who also featured in the Blackadder episode "potato" series 2 as captain Redbeard. But anyway, it is actually o.k. and could get better later on. Worse thing of it though, is there are no darlecks. (is that how you spell it)

year of awe

In Europe, 1783 was called the year of awe because many strange things happened. Earthquakes in Calabria, Volcanic eruptions in both Iceland and Italy and the weather wasn't co-operating either. They had the hottest summer ever recorded and fog covered most of the continent. At sunset the skies changed colours and the moon was a deep red. with July came giant thundrstorms. And after that sweltering summer came a winter so cold that travellers froze by the roadside.
French naturalist Mourgue de Montredon tried to explain to others that the sky probably wasn't going to fall on their heads, and that it was no coincidence that the strange weather came straight after a giant volcano eruption in iceland. On the 8th of June, the Laki fissure, now a 25 km. crack in southern iceland, began erupting from dozens of vents along its length. This was one of the biggest recorded eruptions in history. in the following months, 10,000 Icelandic people died which is approximately a quarter of the nation.
why? wait until the next posting to see.

Collins Bookshop

Just to stop the rumours that seem to be flying around, Collins bookshop, the ONLY bookshop in sunbury is not closing down. This rumour is flying around because (as you may have alredy heard) news that the bigger one, Collins Booksellers, is under administration. According to the news, Collins was put under administration in April and should be able to continue trading its way out of financial troubles. Apparently, the main reason of distress has been undercutting by department stores.

Hello!

Hey this is my blog thingamajigie. I am enzogopher, and I decided to do a whatsits- a blog- on what its like to live in sunbury, and feel a bit like your the only intelligent teenager there. I know, however, this isn't true, which is why im witing a blog to meet others who dont really fit in, like myself, and to share some experiences.

I am also going to write about some books, movies, scientific papers and other interesting stuff. Oh by the way, if youre an adult, stop now, as you may find it all rather boring.
